Region III National Staff Coach Visits GCU  

David Rubinson - Region III National staff coach is coming to work with GCUFC' players. Coach Rubinson is in charge of Region III's ODP camps and directly responsible to bring our best girls from this region to National team.

Coach Rubinson is coming here to work exclusively with Gulf Coast United players for three field sessions.

1. Tuesday September 23rd from 5 - 6:30 pm
U-12g (Natalie) & U-12g (Shane) - Sportsplex - Field 2

2. Tuesday September 23th from, 6:30 - 8 pm
U-14g (Brunis) & U-15g (Cooper) - Sportsplex - Field 2

3. Wednesday September 24th from 6:30 - 8 pm
U-16g & 17g (Pryor) - Gautier (we don't have Sportsplex that day)

 All players wear our all Blue uniforms.

If you have not registered please download, complete, and mail the payment/uniform form*.  If you would like to apply for a scholarship please download, fill it out and turn it in with your payment form.  Please download the POA/Medical release form and have it notarized and turn it into the team manager at the first practice.

Attention Potential Referees
An entry level grade 8 referee clinic being held at the sportsplex referee room. (PLEASE NOTE date change as classes have been shifted one week due to Division Play) Class dates are: 17, 18 and 19 October 2008...times are below:
17th (6:00 to 9:00), 18th (8:00 to 5:00), and 19th (8:00 to 2:00)

A recertification clinic is scheduled for 13 December 2008 (0900-5:00 PM) in the Gulfport Sportsplex Referee Room.

2008 Mississippi Soccer Association State Cup Champions, Finalist, and third place teams

Mississippi Soccer Association Announced Summer 2008 ODP Academy Camp for '96 and '97 Boys and Girls

The camp will run from July 29 throuh June 3rd 2008. Belhaven college will host the camp in Jackson, Mississippi.

AJ at National Team Camp
GCU Player Attends National Team Camp

Gulf Coast United's own AJ just got back from training in Pomona, Calif. with Region III ODP team with the opportunity to make the U16 National Team and play in a tournament in Costa Rica against u17 and u20 teams from Trinidad-Tobago, Honduras, Chile and the host country Costa Rica. Only the best u15/u16 players through out the US were invited.

U-17 Boys Win Premier League & Advance to Regionals

The Gulf Coast United U-17 Boys won the Region III Central Premier League. By winning the Premier League the team received an automatic berth to Regionals in North Carolina this coming summer. This will be the U-17 Boys third trip to Regionals, and both times they advanced out of their bracket.

U-13 Boys Reach Gold Final at the Vulcan Cup

The U-13 Boys Blue team reached the finals at the Vulcan Cup in Birmingham Alabama. They competed in the highest division and beat several state champions during group play.
