TOP 10 Exciting Things For The 2011-2012 Season

1. We will be adding 4 professional level coaches to our staff. USSF A License, Former D1 College coach, Former Professional players. We will be sharing there specific bios on the website on June 1st when we can announce tryout info.

2. The Club has hired a speed, agility and fitness coach for all our players.(At no cost to you). We will be offering this training in addition to our team training nights.

3. We also will be adding Youth Academy Directors Dean Joseph, Stevie Broussard and Natalie Collie who will be offering select level training for 8,9, and 10year olds in Jackson and George Counties. Henrik Madsen Started this Academy and was very successful forming teams in Harrison County/ Gulfport area. We now will do the same to ensure that our players step into our u11 and u12 teams technically better prepared to play select soccer.

4. Our u11s and u12 players will continue to play a 10month season but we will be adding our id2 system where we identify the top players and push their individual development to the next level in a non pressure environment. We will now have the option to move players from teams for more challenging competition while providing the same local training This is what Barcelona, Brazil and the top clubs have been doing for sometime now. All of the top clubs in our region and State will now be following We can focus on how to play the game vs what wins at the younger age groups. Larger faster players

5. We will continue to offer alternative training exposing our players to different coaching styles. (Striker training, advanced technical skills along with Goal Keeper training)

6. We are joining the Gulf States Premier League which is affiliated with USSF. This will allow the coaching staff to better control and focus on player development and total soccer experience without having excessive travel and playing in meaningless games.

7. As part of the Gulf States Premier League we will compete with the top clubs in our region ( Lafayette, Baton Rouge, La Fire, Mandeville, Brilla, JFC/MS Fire, Hattiesburg, Mobile and Dallas Texans Florida). The winners of this league go straight to the National Championship.

8. We will host a college showcase with all teams in the GSPL. Together the GSPL will bring in the college coaches by paying for their travel expenses to ensure their participation. This will be very exciting for our top players that now will get to be seen by the top D1 schools on the boys and girls side.

9. We will play in the US Club Soccer State Cup for Mississippi. This will be structured  so that all teams play appropriate levels of competition - much like a tournament with Gold and Silver Divisions.

10. We will be keeping our same uniforms and our fees will not be raised one penny. We will also continue to offer scholarship assistance to our families next season.

A few other things....

Q. Can we still play in ODP?
A. Yes we actually have 3 DOCs in the GSPL who are Regional Staff ODP coaches. 

Q. How does this affect us this year?
A. We will play at State Cup and the teams that qualify for Regionals in Tennessee will also participate.
